Get Started
With Therapy
Therapy Should Feel Human,
Not Sterile
We're working to make enrolling in therapy simple, supportive, and transparent—so you can focus on feeling better, not figuring out a process.
1. Fill out our online intake form (2–3 minutes).
Include in the comments box:
-
Your insurance carrier
-
Your day/time availability (we can often schedule faster if you’re flexible)
-
Your office location preference — or select none if either Halifax or Camp Hill works for you

2. Our intake team reviews your form.
We’ll carefully review your information to find a therapist and appointment time that best fit your needs and preferences.

3. We reach out to confirm your spot.
We’ll grant you secure client portal access and send all intake documents, which need to be complete at least 24 hours before your first appointment.

-
These forms cover your insurance information, practice policies and confidentiality, HIPAA and privacy details, financial responsibility, background and intake questions, and a card on file for copayments.
Insurance Information

We are in-network with the following commercial insurance plans:
-
Aetna
-
UPMC
-
Geisinger Health Plan
-
Highmark
-
Capital Blue Cross

We do not participate with Medicaid or Medicare plans this time.

A sliding scale self-pay option is available for those who wish to privately pay for services.
If we are out-of-network for your plan, we can provide a superbill for you to submit to insurance for reimbursement. We recommend checking directly with your insurance provider to learn if your plan includes out-of-network benefits.
What To Expect When You Arrive
Both of our offices offer off-street parking for your convenience.

Please plan to arrive approximately 10–15 minutes early for your first appointment to allow time to get settled and complete additional paperwork.

We understand that coming into a new space—and beginning therapy for the first time—can bring up some nerves. That’s completely normal. Our team strives to make the process as comfortable and welcoming as possible, meeting you right where you are.
When you arrive, you’ll enter our waiting area, where your therapist will greet you and review a few additional documents to sign. You’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions before beginning your session.

Then we’ll give you a brief tour of the building and take you to a therapy room to discuss your individual concerns, background, and what brings you to therapy. Your therapist will have reviewed everything ahead of time so you can spend your session focusing on what brought you in.

We strive to create a calm, supportive space where you can begin to relax, feel safe, and focus on your care.
About Your First Session
Your first session is an opportunity to begin building a connection with your therapist. Together, you’ll talk about what brought you in, what you’re hoping to get out of therapy, and any immediate concerns you’d like to address.

Your therapist may ask questions about your background, current stressors, goals, and support systems to gain a fuller understanding of your story. This helps us tailor your care to meet your unique needs.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before you come in. Many people start therapy unsure of where to begin—and that’s okay. Your therapist will help guide the conversation at a comfortable pace.

This first session sets the foundation for your ongoing work together, and you’ll leave with a clearer sense of what therapy will look like moving forward.
