Kelsi Graff, LPC

Founder & Clinical Director

Kelsi is the founder and clinical director of Mountain View Counseling & Wellness Center, operating out of Camp Hill, PA, and Halifax, PA.  She offers clinical consultation and clinical supervision to developing clinicians in central Pennsylvania.

What led to you opening Mountain View Counseling & Wellness Center?

After ten years of working in different areas of the counseling field, I kept coming back to the same feeling: mental health care often felt stagnant, sterile, and far too clinical. I believed deeply in the work, but I never felt like my style fit neatly into the traditional mold. I wanted more connection, more flexibility, and more freedom to truly meet clients where they were rather than pushing an agenda or following a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy.

I had always envisioned creating a space that felt different—a place that felt like home when you walked through the door. A place to exhale. Somewhere clients could let their guard down, feel comfortable being fully themselves, and know they were being seen as a whole person rather than a diagnosis. I also wanted to create a space where clinicians could be human too, because I believe the best therapeutic relationships happen when there are two real people in the room.

That vision became Mountain View Counseling & Wellness Center. The Wellness Center part of our name was intentional from the very beginning. I never wanted Mountain View to be just another counseling office. I wanted to create a holistic mental health and wellness space where therapy, emotional wellness, connection, and whole-person care could exist together—and where we could continue growing and finding new ways to support the people in our community.

One of my favorite compliments is still when someone walks through our doors for the first time, looks around, and says, “Wow, it’s so nice in here.” Because that feeling matters. Therapy can be hard enough. The space you walk into—and the person sitting across from you—should make it a little easier to breathe.

What types of services does the practice offer?

Mountain View Counseling & Wellness Center offers individual, couples, group, and family therapy for children, teens, and adults, along with a growing range of holistic wellness services. Our clinicians support clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship concerns, life transitions, stress, self-esteem, and other mental health challenges.

Our services extend beyond traditional counseling. We offer red light therapy as part of our wellness services, as well as professional trainings and educational opportunities for clinicians, organizations, and community groups. We also support the next generation of mental health professionals through clinical supervision and internship opportunities for graduate-level counseling and social work students.

We believe mental health and overall wellness are deeply connected, and that strong mental health care also requires investing in the professionals providing it. Whether someone comes to Mountain View for therapy, wellness services, professional development, clinical supervision, or hands-on learning as an intern, our goal remains the same: to meet people where they are, create space for growth, and provide meaningful, individualized support.

What is it like for new clients entering the building?

Walking into Mountain View for the first time probably doesn’t feel like walking into a traditional mental health office—and that’s very intentional. We wanted to create a warm, comfortable, cozy environment where you can take a breath, settle in, and exhale a little before you ever sit down with your therapist.

We know that reaching out for therapy can feel intimidating, especially if it’s your first time. From the moment you walk through the door, our goal is for you to feel welcomed, comfortable, and free to simply be yourself. You won’t find a cold and sterile clinical environment here. Instead, we’ve intentionally created spaces that feel calm and inviting, with clinicians who value genuine human connection just as much as their clinical expertise.

There’s no expectation that you walk in knowing exactly what to say, what you need, or even where to begin. You can come as you are. We’ll meet you there.

What do you love about your line of work?

What I love most about this work is the trust. I have always felt incredibly honored when someone allows me into a part of their story they may not share with anyone else. There is something really powerful about creating a space where another person feels safe enough to be completely real—messy parts included. Honestly, messy is one of the highest forms of flattery in this field. It means someone feels safe enough to stop filtering, stop performing, and just show up as they are.

I love the relationship that develops through that process. I get to sit beside people through some of the hardest chapters of their lives, watch things begin to make sense, see them recognize their own strength, and eventually watch them reach a point where they don't need me in the same way anymore. That's always incredibly rewarding—and a little bittersweet.

As Mountain View has grown, I've also gotten to experience this work from a different perspective. I now have the opportunity to mentor clinicians, provide clinical supervision, train other professionals, and work with interns who are just beginning to develop their own identities as therapists. Being able to help create a culture where clinicians feel supported enough to be human, build genuine relationships with their clients, and practice in a way that feels authentic to them has become another part of this work that I really love.

My mission has always been simple: if I can give even one person a safe place, I've done my job. Mountain View has allowed that mission to become bigger than just the people sitting across from me in my own therapy room—and that's probably the most meaningful part of all of it.

What are you into outside of work?

Outside of work, I’m usually somewhere between a book, a soccer field, a wrestling mat, and our little homestead. I’m an avid reader—thrillers, thrillers, and more thrillers—and I almost always have a book with me. If I manage to find a quiet moment, there’s a good chance you’ll find me on my porch swing with a book, watching the birds.

My husband and I have three boys, so a huge part of my life outside of Mountain View revolves around them and their sports—and I genuinely love it. I’m a soccer mom and coach, serve on the board of our local wrestling club, and spend a significant amount of my evenings and weekends at practices, games, tournaments, and everything that comes along with raising three busy boys. Being involved in their teams and our local community is one of my favorite parts of this season of life.

We also have a small homestead, so when we aren’t running to a sporting event, there are animals to care for, gardens to tend, food to preserve, and usually another project happening somewhere. I love being outside, growing things, and slowing down enough to enjoy the little pieces of life at home.

As for what I do on my free days? I have three boys and youth sports. I’ll let you know when I find one.
